Unleashing social physics in everyday relationships

Aug 7, 2020 @ 12pm to 1:30pm ET - Register here

This Free interactive ZOOM session.

Our personal and professional world is an ecology of relationships. We are the architects and co-creators. It often escapes attention how well we can manage our way of relating with those we work, play, live, love, think, do and be with. Be it one on one or be it in a small group or in a group with 6-7 individuals - we can create a shared reality where trust is a natural outcome. The conversation is about taking an intimate look - albeit a quick one - at ourselves and the realities we create. After all, the creator must accept their creations - for us - it is our relationships to Self and Others. Welcome to the inmost insights of social physics.

In this session you will uncover the core aspects of:

  • How would I immediately bring small/large group together
  • Group Dynamics – covert and overt
  • Interpersonal processes – invisible electricity when trust develops with a structure

  • Communal exploration

SPEAKER
Amrita V. Subramanian | Wharton Faculty, Organizational Dynamics & Executive Coach

Amrita brings 22+ years of robust experience in multiple industries across business operations, strategic planning and execution in complex environments across Asia Pacific and Europe. In her last role, she served as Vice President – Global Strategic Talent Development in HSBC.

Currently, Amrita teaches at Organizational Dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania and works closely with the Wharton School of Business, Penn Medicine, Penn Law and Penn Engineering. Her teaching focus covers 2 broad arcs

(1) the conscience of an organization, (2) the conversations in the organization (that impact and shape the conscience) – power, politics, complexity, paradoxes, post traumatic growth through crisis, generational workforce productivity and conflicts, collaboration in VUCA contexts, virtually sustaining trust based relationships with stakeholders in hyper-real world, organizational disruption and post-disruption growth (individual and enterprise).  She is a social entrepreneur and works closely with leaders from different fields who seek to create outrageous progress for the planet, people, and ethical profit.

As an executive coach and an organizational consultant:

  • Solutions: She partners with clients to bring sustainable solutions to solve past-current-future problems by harnessing the collective intelligence inside and outside the organization. The sooner the client and client systems go self-sufficient and become independent of a consultant - the better the nature of organic solutions for the system’s complexity and evolving progress.
  • Process: Amrita creates access to useful information by applying a diagnostic lens to the client’s present situation. She begins by understanding the culture, the results and the relationships, and takes a holistic view to offer clients insight into their current environment.
  • Client profiles: Trusted by senior executive members, members of board, and international business leaders with complex portfolios, and rich personal histories – across the 18 countries. They are usually human beings who wish to amplify their effectiveness as social influencers and inspire long term and broad-ranging impact on the ecosystem – personal and professional.

In the final stages of her pursuit of Ph.D. in Human Development, Amrita hopes to offer herself as a teacher, consultant, coach, and an alchemist to organizations. Her dissertation is on post-disruptive growth (Post Traumatic Growth) in individuals, groups, organizations, and communities – especially in the virtual world keeps her busy. Her love for new adventures in travel, people, culture, cuisines, cosmos, language and music does the rest. You are welcome to connect with her at subam@sas.upenn.edu or subam@wharton.upenn.edu.
