This Free interactive ZOOM session.
Psychological safety means you can simply be you, show up at work, and feel safe knowing that you are accepted and respected. According to Harvard Business School professor Amy Edmondson, who coined the term: "Psychological safety is a belief that one will not be punished or humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns or mistakes." Knowing what it is and how to create an environment that feels safe is not necessarily obvious. What can you do to ensure you are promoting a psychologically safe environment?
In this session we will cover:
- What is psychological safety?
- What is the connection with neuroscience?
- Why does psychological safety matter in the workplace (both face-to-face & virtually)
- What it feels like to be psychologically safe.
- Benefits of psychological safety.
- How to ground yourself.
- Resources.
